As of 11/10/04 IndividualHealth. com’s internet services have been approved for co-op advertising reimbursement by Blue Shield of California. Agents may submit startup fees and monthly subscription fees for co-op dollars beginning immediately. To qualify the agent must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a registered user of Individualhealth.com.
- Must be an authorized agent of record with Blue Shield of California
- Must have a web site created by Individualhealth.com
- The web site must be a Blue Shield of California only menu system
- The agent must have Co-op advertising dollars available
- All reimbursements must adhere to standard Blue Shield of CA terms and conditions for Co-op funds.
Individualhealth.com and Blue Shield of California have joined in this marketing program to provide agents with their own unique web site that contains information, tools, links and online applications to further facilitate the sale of Blue Shield of California products. Individualhealth.com not only provides the web site but helps drive web traffic to the participating agents using internet marketing.
Individualhealth.com is made up of two distinct web sites that are joined with links to optimize the platforms power and internet presence for increased traffic. The first site is the agent's site where each agent can customize their message based on selling style, providers, location, and areas of specialty. This is a stand alone site specific to the agent. The second site is the Parent, or gateway site, (Individualhealth.com) that represents all the participating agents in a non-bias environment where potential clients can find information about different plans and select an agent based on location or needs. Using the dual site approach allows Individualhealth.com to be ranked higher in relevant search engines based on product specific queries. It also allows agents to send clients directly to their site without fear of loosing a client to another agent or provider.
This common gateway supplies information all agents use while distributing the cost of placement, maintenance, updates, and new development with all the registered users. The more agents subscribing to the Individualhealth.com web site the more our platform buying power increases. This is important because Search Engines do give consideration to the amount of traffic a single site receives and calculates this in their algorithms. More agents and traffic thus helps improve the positioning and relevancy given to our gateway site moving us higher in the search engine results based on product specific queries.
