 How to Customize your CoreShare Plan...
With CoreShare, you have some choice and flexibility to change the plan to better meet your needs. CoreShare offers a choice of
Deductible: You can usually lower your premium by choosing a higher deductible. Simply choose the deductible and premium combination that works best.
Facility Copayment: If you choose a higher deductible, you can eliminate the facility copayment requirement from your CoreShare Plus plan. Otherwise, there is a copayment that will apply for inpatient hospital stays and outpatient surgeries.
 Preventive Care Benefits
Now all of the Individual Plans from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia include 100% coverage for Preventive Services when you utilize a network provider. This follows the health care reform law and state regulations. When you get these services from providers in the network, you don't have to worry about paying anything out of your pocket for covered preventive care such as screenings, immunizations and exams. You may have to pay part of the costs if you use a provider outside the network.
Preventive versus Diagnostic Care
Preventive care is precautionary. Diagnostic care us used to find the cause of existing symptoms. For example, if your doctor suggest you have a colonoscopy because of your age, that's preventitive care. But, if you doctor suggests a colonoscopy to see what's causing your symptoms. that's diagnostic care and you may need to pay part of the cost. Network Coverage...
With Anthem's extensive network of providers, chances are that your doctor is already part of their network. And all network providers have lower rates for their members. You'll have access to these lower rates (discounts) before and after meeting your deductible.
