Blue Access^® Value

Blue Access Value is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) health coverage product that can be tailored to meet your needs. The product design has four different deductible levels to help you tailor the monthly premium to your coverage needs. So if you haven't had health coverage before or your main concern is medical emergencies and treatments, you can have it now and enjoy some peace of mind in the process.

Blue Access Value is designed offers protection against high costs, as well as some conventional health care needs such as preventive care and two physician office visits annually. Blue Access Value Plan delivers lower premiums than most comparable health care plans, so people who might hot have had health care coverage before can have it now.

Choose your deductible

The Blue Access Value Plan lets you choose from a range of deductibles starting at $2,000 and up to $10,000 for an individual member. This way, you get to determine your comfort level and premium payments. If you don't have any major health concerns, you could consider going with a higher deductible and paying lower premiums. Visit the doctor more often? Then consider a lower deductible

Protected right away

On top of offering comprehensive coverage, the Blue Access Value Plan covers up to $300 in outpatient diagnosis services, including lab work and x-rays (subject to coninsurance). In addition, your first two office visits are covered for a copayment of just $30 each. None of these services are subject to your deductible. Which means the Blue Access Value Plan can start paying and protecting you right away.

Low-cost prescription drug coverage

The Blue Access Value Plan pays up to $500 per person per calendar year, for prescribed medications. Members pay a $10.00 copayment for generic prescription medications and a $25.00 copayment for brand name formulary drugs (after a separate $200 brand name drug deductible). If you generally need only an occaisional prescription medication, this coverage can work well for you.
